In the BookBeat app, you can listen to audiobooks and read e-books. Many books are available in both formats. Please note that listening and reading are only possible in the app, not on our website.
Which formats are available?
Symbols show which formats a book is available in. When you browse the app or a category, they're shown above the book cover. In lists, you'll find them on the far right of the book card.
- Headphones: the book is available as an audiobook.
- Reading glasses: the book is available as an e-book.

Starting a book
Find a book you'd like to listen to or read, for example through search, "Categories" or "Inspiration". Tap the cover to open the book page, then tap "Listen" to start the audiobook or "Read" to open the e-book.
If a book is available in both formats, you can switch between listening and reading. For many books, listening and reading are synchronised, so you won't lose your place in the book when you switch. You can read more in our article about switching between listening and reading.
