Audiobooks come in different formats, so whether you can see chapters depends on the book. Some audiobooks are one long audio file, while others are split into tracks. Tracks can be of different lengths, very short, or match the chapters of the book.
Books with chapters
We try to make chapters available for as many books as possible. If a book has chapters, the bottom of the audio player shows which chapter you are in, for example "Chapter 1", and the time left in the current chapter. If we have the chapter names, they are shown instead of the chapter numbers. Tap the chapter to see all the chapters and jump between them.
Books with tracks
If a book is split into tracks, the bottom of the audio player shows the track number, for example "Track 1", and the time left in the current track. Tap it to see all the tracks and jump between them.
Books with one long audio file
If an audiobook is one long audio file, it usually has no chapters or track list. There are also no skip buttons for jumping between tracks.
Tip: Change what the progress bar shows
Directly under the cover in the audio player, you can switch between "Book" and "Chapter" or "Track", depending on what the book has. The progress bar then shows either the whole book or just the current chapter or track. This lets you see exactly where you are, and makes it easier to find your way back with the progress bar if you've lost your place. The switch isn't available for books with one long audio file.
