Yes! You can choose which notifications you'd like to receive from BookBeat.
Allow notifications on your device
- Tap "Profile" in the bottom right corner of the app.
- In the "My App Settings" section, tap "Notifications".
- At the top of the page, you can see whether notifications are turned on for BookBeat on your device. If they're not, tap "Go to settings" to open your device settings and allow notifications for BookBeat.
- Go back to the BookBeat app to choose your notifications.
You need to allow notifications for BookBeat in your device settings before you can choose your preferences in the app.
Choose your notifications
Under "I'm interested in", choose whether you want notifications about "Audiobooks", "E-books" or both.
Under "I want notifications about", you can turn each type of notification on or off:
- My upcoming books
- Series I follow
- Authors and narrators I follow
- BookBeat Info
- Book Recommendations
- Marketing Offers
For example, if you want to know when an upcoming book you've saved is released, turn on "My upcoming books".
Your choices stay saved even if you turn off notifications on your device later.
Notifications in your Inbox
If notifications are turned off on your device, you can still get notifications in your BookBeat Inbox. To open it, tap the bell symbol at the top of "Home". It's in the top right corner on iOS and in the top left corner on Android. You can read more in our article about how the Inbox works.
