We offer the possibility to make a profile child friendly. This means that only content appropriate for children up to 12 years old will be visible in the app and it will make it easier to find content specifically aimed at children.

This is how you make a profile child friendly:

1. Log in to your account page on the BookBeat website.
2. Go to the header "Profiles" and click the pen symbol next to the profile that is meant for a child.
3. Check the "Kids profile" box.
4. The app will now show child friendly content.

If you don't see child friendly content right away on the profile, please check that you have the latest version of the app and restart it. You can also switch to a different profile and back again for the child status to update.

If you want to switch a profile back to regular content, you simply remove the check mark in the box again.

Please note that kid's profiles only change the content that is visible in the app. Users can still freely switch between profiles and there are no extra child lock functions at the moment.
