Books with padlocks are not included in the subscription catalogue and need to be purchased separately. To buy a book you need to go to our website and purchase the book. After creating an account and paying for the book it will be available in your BookBeat app.

If you have an active subscription you can purchase the book at a lower subscriber-price.

How to purchase a book?
If you are new to BookBeat:

1. Go to the search function on the BookBeat website. You can get to the search via this link.
2. Type in the book name or author to find the book.
3. Once you have found the book, tap on "Buy book", create an account and then complete the purchase.
4. Download the BookBeat app and log in with the same e-mail address and password you purchased the book with.
5. You will now find the book in the "Home" tab under "Purchased books".

If you already have an account on BookBeat:

1. Go to https://www.bookbeat.com/login and log in.
2. Tap the two bars in the top-right corner and then on "Search" or directly on "Search" in the top bar if you're on a larger screen.
3. Type in the book name or author to find the book.
4. Tap "Buy book" and complete the purchase.
5. After purchasing the book, you can go back to the app and you will find your book in the "Home" tab under "Purchased books".

If an extra profile wants to read or listen to the purchased book, the profile and the account owner need an active subscription.

Purchased books do not use hours or effect your subscription in any way.
